Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science & Technology (OCAST): Oklahoma Applied Research Support (OARS)

Tue, 10/23/2018 - 1:30pm - 3:00pm
Bizzell Library, Room 339

Do you need funding for innovative, applied research?

Does your research have a potentially commercial application?

Could your research result in enhanced employment opportunities within Oklahoma?

OCAST’s Oklahoma Applied Research Support (OARS) program is a funding program that invests in research and development supporting innovative technologies with commercial potential. This funding is designed to increase investment in the R&D of new technologies that will ultimately bring value to the state of Oklahoma and help grow and diversify the state’s economy.  The Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) will facilitate an OCAST OARS program workshop for OU faculty and research staff.  The session will be led by Connor Cox, OCAST Programs Manager, and will include information about the:

  • types of eligible projects
  •   required proposal elements (e.g., Economic Impact Statement and matching funds)
  •  FAQ’s & tips for success
  •  Submission and review process

Whether your research is early stage (e.g., exploratory development or product definition) or later stage, with commercial opportunities clearly defined, this is a great way to learn more about OCAST’s programs and services.

Researchers from all levels (faculty, research staff, postdocs and graduate students) are welcome to attend, but seating is limited so please register HERE.
