Are you curious about growing your research with undergraduate researchers?"

Do you want to bring undergraduates in to your research group but are concerned about the additional time needed to train them?

The Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) will facilitate a workshop focused on the role of undergraduate students in research.  The Research Resources: Office of Undergraduate Research workshop can assist faculty and research staff in understanding the benefits of including undergraduates in research and creative projects and how the office can help you.

Primary topics of discussion will include

  • recruiting undergraduate assistants
  •  developing mentoring plans
  •  applying to internal funding programs
  •  using course-based research to amplify your impact and results

Whether you need to find, mentor or support an undergraduate research assistant, this is a great way to learn more about the Office of Undergraduate Research and its programs.  The guest speakers will be       Susan Walden, Director, Office of Undergraduate Research anMike Faneros, Program Coordinator, Office of Undergraduate Research.

Seating is limited, so please register HERE.

Researchers from all levels (faculty, research staff, postdocs and graduate students) are welcome to attend.

For those unable to attend the session, we will be livestreaming the event.  If you are interested in online viewing, please register using the “Live Stream Viewing” ticket type at least 48 hours before the session as this option requires some initial preparation.  You must use your OU email address to register and you will be sent instructions about accessing the session.
