Polishing Your Competitive Edge

Date:
Wed, 10/03/2018 - 1:30pm - 3:00pm
Location:
Bizzell Library Community Room, LL 118

What does your online presence say about you?

Do you want to more effectively promote and communicate your research expertise to those outside of the university?

The Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) will facilitate a workshop focused on developing and enhancing the way you portray your professional self. The Polishing Your Competitive Edge workshop will assist researchers in developing and expanding their online presence and in communicating their scholarship with others, both inside and outside of the university. Whether you want to attract partners to your research or disseminate your research findings, letting others know the depth of your expertise, this is a great way to build a more competitive professional identity.

Primary topics of discussion will include:

  • refining your CV/biosketch
  •  upscaling your website
  •  effectively using social media to promote your work
  •  communicating your research to the public
  •  attracting partners and funders for your research

Seating is limited, so please register HERE.

Researchers from all levels (faculty, research staff, postdocs, graduate students and undergraduates) are welcome to attend.
