Navigating the NSF Proposal Submission Process

Wed, 09/12/2018 - 9:00am - 11:00am
Five Partners Place, Room 3201

Have questions about submitting an NSF proposal?

  • What is the routing process?
  • Who submits an NSF proposal?
  • What is NSF FastLane, and how do I access it?
  • How can I avoid the most frequent problems?

The Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) will facilitate the Navigating the NSF Proposal Submission Process Workshop to provide faculty with an understanding of the requirements and process of submitting an NSF proposal. Fran Stephens, Director of Preaward Services in the Office of Research Services, will lead a discussion primarily focused on NSF guidelines and required proposal components. The participants will also “walk through” NSF’s electronic submission mechanism (NSF FastLane).

At the end of the session, you will have an opportunity to create a working proposal “shell” in NSF FastLane; however, you will have to already have an account and bring your laptop.  Please contact Cindy Clark ( if you would like to set up an NSF FastLane account prior to the session.

Seating is limited, so please register HERE.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Cindy Clark at
