NSF Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Program

Thu, 08/30/2018 - 10:00am - 11:00am
Five Partners Place, Room 3201

MRI provides support to acquire critical research instrumentation without which advances in fundamental science and engineering research may not otherwise occur. MRI also provides support to develop next-generation research instruments that open new opportunities to advance the frontiers in science and engineering research. Additionally, an MRI award is expected to enhance research training of students who will become the next generation of instrument users, designers and builders.

This limited submission competition will consist of two phases:

Phase 1: Each faculty team is to send a representative to the MRI Reality Check meeting on Thursday, August 30 at 10:00-11:00 am in the VPR Conference Room (5PP, Room 3201).  Registration for the MRI Reality Check meeting is required (please register here).  At least one member of your team must attend.

The Notice-of-Intent will be due on September 5, 2018 by 5:00 pm via the CRPDE website at: http://crpde.ou.edu/notice_of_intent.

Phase 2: Interested faculty teams should complete the internal OU application and submit the application via the CRPDE website (http://crpde.ou.edu/node/475) by September 19, 2018 by 5:00 pm.

If accommodations are needed or if you have questions regarding the session, please email Cindy Clark at cgclark@ou.edu.
