Research Resources for Confidential, Controlled and Classified Projects

Thu, 02/08/2018 - 3:00pm - 4:30pm
Five Partners Place, Room 3201

Does your research involve collaborators outside of the U.S. or require that you travel internationally with OU equipment?

While export controls can impact a variety of activities at the University, one area of particular concern is research.  The Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) will facilitate a seminar focused on Confidential, Controlled and Classified Projects.  Wayne Edgar, from the Office of Export Controls (OEC), will be presenting important information about when to contact OEC and why it is critical to understand OU policies, as well as federal statutes, surrounding these types of projects.  Whether you are engaged in international research, want to understand more about requirements for controlled information, or just want to know more about the purview of the Office of Export Controls, this is a great learning opportunity.

Seating is limited, so please register HERE.

For faculty unable to attend the session, we will be live streaming the event.  If you are interested in viewing via Facebook Workplace, please register using the “Live Stream Viewing” ticket type.  You must use your OU email address to register, and OU Facebook Workplace will send you an invitation to “Join Now”.  You only have to join once, and you will have access to all of the prior (recorded) and subsequent sessions.  After you join, you will be sent a link to access the CRPDE Events page.  Unfortunately, the live stream option is not available to students at this time.
