Five Partners Place (Room 3201 – VPR Conference Room)
  • Do you know where to find funding for your research projects?
  • Do you have a strategic funding calendar?
  • Do you know the difference between grant writing and scholarly writing?

The University of Oklahoma is committed to the development and success of OU postdocs.  In an effort to provide postdocs with learning opportunities and professional development, the Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) is facilitating a series of introductory seminars focusing on several aspects of career development.  Each session will have a “stand alone” format so that participants can attend any or all of them.

This session in the Postdoc Series, Fellowship & Grant Funding, will be held on October 5th, 4:30pm – 6:30pm, in Five Partners Place (Room 3201 – VPR Conference Room).  This seminar will present an introduction to finding, planning, and writing grant applications for research and travel. Participants will learn resources for seeking external funding grants that support research projects, travel, and training opportunities. This session will include topics like:

  • Strategic planning for funding
  • Searching for funding opportunities
  • Researching funding sources
  • Writing grants

While not required, participants may want to bring a laptop to follow search examples.

This presentation will be provided by Quyen Wickham from OU’s CRPDE.  As seating is limited, please register HERE if you plan to attend.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Quyen Wickham at
