Identifying Your Synergistic Activities for the NSF Biosketch

Location:

Synergistic Activities – The NSF Biosketch requires demonstration of the broader impact of your professional and scholarly activities that focus on the integration and transfer of knowledge as well as its creation.  Identifying these “Synergistic Activities” can be the most challenging part of developing your NSF Biosketch.  If you want answers to:

 ·       Should I include the courses I teach?

·       What are some examples of these activities?

·       Is this the same as outreach and broader impacts?

The Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) will be hosting a workshop to discuss this critical component and will provide guidance in the development of your NSF Biosketch.  We encourage you to email your synergistic activities to Marilyn Korhonen (mkorhonen@ou.edu) for review.  Although we may use it as an example during the workshop, there will be absolutely no identifying information in the examples.
