Research Resources Roadshow - Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) and Broader Impacts for Research (BIR)

Fri, 04/07/2017 - 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Five Partners Place, Room 3201

The Center for Research Program Development and Enrichment (CRPDE) is coordinating a series of faculty seminars focused on identifying OU resources that support research and creative scholarship. Each session will take place on-site at the resource’s location and will include a discussion led by a representative from that unit. Whether you are a scientist, a humanist or an artist, this is a great way to learn more about OU resources that are available to you.  This session will introduce participants to support and services provided by the Office for Undergraduate Research and Broader Impacts in Research.

The Office of Undergraduate Research (O.U.R.) strives to involve all University of Oklahoma students in research and creative projects sometime during their academic career. Towards this goal, the O.U.R. supports all campus faculty, staff, and students in their endeavors to include research and creative projects as part of their learning and curriculum. O.U.R. offers programs, resources, and support for Course-based Undergraduate Research and Individual Apprentice-type research experiences.

Broader Impacts in Research (BIR) serves as a point of contact at the University of Oklahoma for assistance in developing, implementing, and evaluating high quality Broader Impact programs and portfolios.  BIR helps make connections between faculty, researchers, administrators, programs, community partners, other potential stakeholders and resources on and off campus.
