OU Health Disparities, Social Science and Humanities of Health Mini-Symposium Networking Event

Fri, 04/22/2016 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Ellison Hall 132

We are pleased to announce the first OU Health Disparities, Social Science and Humanities of Health Symposium, Friday April 22, 2p-4p in the Bizzell Library Community Room (Lower Level 1) on the Norman Campus. This free symposium will consist of three panel presentations, independent presentations from various Health Science Center organizations, followed by a networking event in Ellison Hall, room 132, from 4p-6p.

The primary goals of this symposium will be to

  • Provide a brief introduction to the variety of non-biological health related research conducted on the OU-Norman and OU-Tulsa campuses,
  • Provide an opportunity to hear from various funding opportunities from the Oklahoma City Health Sciences Campus (SCC, OSCTR, OTRC)
  • Network with other health research faculty from the Norman and Tulsa campuses and meet health researchers and program administrators from the Health science Campus.

If you plan to attend the Research Friday networking event, please rsvp to Cassie Zaccarelli (cassiezacc@ou.edu) by April 18th at noon and send her two Powerpoint Slides: one with a photo of yourself and a second one with a few keywords describing your research interests. Both slides should have you name on them. These slides will be shown throughout the event and will make it easier to meet new people.

Please share this with interested colleagues! We are hoping to make this an annual event. Your attendance and willingness to present will help us make this an important opportunity for future events!
