Why sign up?

  • Access Pivot from off-campus,
  • Track and save your funding opportunities,
  • Receive automated notifications about funding opportunities and changes,
  • Find collaborators.

How to sign up.

Click here (or on the "Sign up" link in the top right-hand corner of the Pivot website). You must use your @ou.edu email address and "University of Oklahoma" as the Affiliated Member Institution when creating your account. You should receive an email confirmation once your account has been approved.

 

Why claim my profile?

  • Allows potential collaborators to find you,
  • Lets you check the accuracy of your profile for more accurate funding suggestions.

How to claim a profile.

After logging in, click on your name in the upper right-hand corner to access the profile menu. If you haven't claimed your profile, "Claim Profile" will appear as a menu option. A web page will open and should provide you with profile options. If you are new to OU, a profile may have been found at another institution; look for matches under "Outside Institutions" in the left column of the Pivot profile page.

 

Why update my profile?

  • Lets you keep your profile information up-to-date,
  • Helps Pivot's Advisor (see last tab) suggest opportunities that may be of interest to you.

How to update a profile.

After logging in, click on your name in the upper right-hand corner to access the profile menu. Click on "Your Profile" to view your profile, then click on "Update your profile" in the upper right-hand corner of your profile. Click the "Edit" button in the upper right-hand corner to begin editing the individual sections. Click the "Done" button in the upper right-hand corner when you are finished. You can then close the profile page and return to Pivot.

 

The more detailed and informative your profile, the better opportunity matches the Advisor will be able to suggest.
