Introduction to Pivot

The OU VPR, CRPDE, and OU Libraries provides Community of Science (COS) Pivot to assist faculty members in discovering funding opportunities and supporting collaboration in research development. Pivot is a comprehensive database that can be personalized for accurate and automated searches, or sharing opportunities within groups. Using the personalized Pivot profiles, faculty can identify other researchers with similar research interests.


If this is your first time to use Pivot, you should access Pivot from an on-campus computer. Once a profile has been created, Pivot can be use off-campus.


To get started, follow the tabbed sections below:

  • Basic Pivot provides guidance in quick searches, a direct key term search bar and some search tips.
  • Accounts and Profiles outlines steps needed to claim and edit your University of Oklahoma user profile.
  • The Advisor, Advanced Pivot Searching and Saving Searches provides information about Pivot's Advisor function and details in creating a customized search query.
